Discover the village

The village of Crouttes sur Marne was already inhabited at the time of the cavemen! There are still some small caves (located on unstable ground) that gave the village its name: the caves – "creuttes" in Old French – led to "Crouttes". The inhabitants of

As you walk through Crouttes, you will pass by several picturesque paths. You can also admire about twenty boards representing old postcards; they are placed where the photo was taken, so that you can see both the old and the new landscape at the same time.

Finally, you can find a mosaic mural at the corner of rue de Bézu and rue des Frénagands (visible by going down rue de Bézu). Another mural is in progress at 10, Grande Rue to be completed in summer 2022.
